5 Christmas Movies you have to watch! | 2020
Hey guys, how are you all doing? I haven't done any Christmas content this year, and thought that I would share with you some Christmas movies I've loved over the last few years. I did actually make a blog post back when I started my blog, discussing my favorite Christmas Movies.
That post was mainly filled with classics, so today I'm going to share some of my more recent favorite Christmas movies. Let's get into it.
Klaus
I watched this movie about a week and a half ago, and I was extremely impressed with this movie. I remember watching the trailer, and not thinking too much of it, but boy was I wrong.
It's an animated movie retelling the story of how the tale of Santa Claus came to be. It's animated in a unique, yet beautiful way.
It was fun for all ages, funny, and a really creative retelling! I don't want to give too much away, but you can currently watch this movie on Netflix!
I highly recommend this one.
Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
Originally I was excited about this movie, because it was going to be a musical. Then I was a little hesitant, because Netflix Christmas movies are extremely hit or miss. I was extremely relieved when I saw all the positive reviews on Instagram. Me & and my family sat down to watch it, and we all loved it!
The plot was good. The actors all did an amazing job. The dance numbers were well done, and fun. The music and the songs were all impressive! I shouldn't have been surprised that the music was going to be good when I found out John Legend helped with the music.
If you're a fan of musicals, you are going to LOVE this one! You can also watch this movie on Netflix.
Rise of the Guardians
The moment I saw the animations, I knew I wanted to watch it. The plotline is extremely unique, and extremely well thought out. Also, for those of you who have seen it, can we all agree that they made Jack, extremely good looking?
For those of you who haven't watched this movie, it's about immortal guardians, like Santa Claus, Jack Frost, the Easter Bunny, the Sandman, the Tooth Fairy, and a few other guardians, who work together to protect children. I don't want to give too much away, but at the end of the day it's up to Jack to save the world.
While this movie isn't specifically a Christmas movie, it is a winter movie, so they're almost the same thing?
The only places you can currently watch this is on HBO Max, Hulu Premium and renting it on Amazon Video. If you haven't watched it, I definitely think this movie is worth renting!
The Grinch (2018)
Every time they make a remake to this movie, I don't think I'm going to like it, but end up surprised. Each actor adds their own spin to the Grinch, and every director adds their little sprinkle of magical specialness.
This Grinch is played Benedict Cumberbatch. It's another animated variation of the Grinch, and it's a really fun one. The animation is beautifully done, and the humor spot on for all ages.
Pharrell William's is the Nararator in this movie, and it's something you never knew you needed in your life til you hear it.
They used to have this movie on Netflix, but I think they only have the 2nd remake with Jim Carrey at the moment. You can currently rent this movie on Youtube and Amazon Video! This is another family friendly movie I recommend.
The Christmas Chronicles
This is another well made Netflix movies. I feel like while movies like this have been done before, they did a really good job with this. When brother and sister, Kate and Teddy, decide to catch Santa on the act, they definitely didn't expect the way their night would turn out.
They actually just released the second one recently, which I have not had the chance to watch yet! This movie is a lot of fun, with beautiful effects, I 100% recommend this one. Like I mentioned before, you can watch this movie on Netflix.
