Fridaze 074

Happy Friday and Happy Fridaze! Who am I? Posting multiple times over this month? It’s almost like I’m actually keeping to my schedule. Okay, Okay, enough joking around, I’m actually pretty proud of myself for finding the time to get back into blogging!

This past week was the perfect mix of busy and chill, so grab your favorite drink (coffee, tea, soda, etc) and let’s chat about it!

Cobra Kai

Last Friday started off with a bang, because me, J, and my best friend watched most of the first half of the recently released season of Cobra Kai.

I have been binge watching this show for the past 2 months or so, and while I didn’t think it was going to be my cup of tea, I was so wrong. This show is completely unserious, the acting is pretty sub-par, but there’s something pretty special about it! I genuinely have fallen in love with this show.

I’m pretty sad that this is the final season, and the second half is going to be released in November. If you haven’t given this show a chance, I highly recommend it! (If you are going to watch it, make sure you watch the first 3 Karate Kid movies. The show is better if you have watched the movies, because a lot of characters from the movies make an appearance).

J’s Nephew’s Bday

Then on Saturday, it was J’s nephew’s birthday! He turned 6, which is super exciting. He’s really into stuffed animals, so we got him some Squishmallows & a Jellycat!

He seemed to really like them, so that was exciting.

Strength Training

I started strength training at the beginning of the month, and while I haven’t noticed a real physical change, I have noticed that I’m finally starting to get stronger!

While I’ve done some strength training in the past, it has never been the main source of exercise for me. As of now I’m doing strength training 3 times a week, and doing some supplemental cardio on the side.

I’m hoping to see physical results soon! (And hopefully my appetite can finally go down. I’m hungry all the time).

Summer “spring cleaning”

I love to do a good organization clean out every so often, and this week I did just that! Put some clothes in a bag to donate them, I cleaned out our entryway closet, and even built a new table to put on my balcony! I’ll finally be able to eat outside, which is super exciting.

It feels nice to clean our space, it feels a lot less cluttered!

Luca Turns 2

To end my weekend, my baby Luca turned 2! Time has flown so quickly, I can’t believe it’s already been a year and a half since we adopted him! He got some doggy bakery treats, and a super special dinner.

If you get hungry after you work out try eating more protein-rich foods. I know it seems like everyone is obsessed with protein nowadays (thanks to TikTok) but it's really important if you work regularly. You're inspiring me to give my closet a summer closet clean-up. ♥

Yeah, I think I definitely wasn't eating enough protein! I've been having protein greek yogurts in the morning, and just eating things with more protein in general, and it's helping me get through my workouts with ease! My hunger has also plateaued, so I feel a lot less hungry compared to when I first started strength training. Thanks for the tip 🙂 xx

Happy Fridaze! And happy birthday, Luca! I'm finally getting back into blogging / content again as well and it feels nice! I've been in the summer cleaning / refresh mood myself, which has been a bit of a relief. Funny how clearing things makes us feel a little better. x
