what i was grateful for in february | 2019

Wow, did February go by quickly or what? I feel like It was January yesterday! But here we are on the first day of March, which means Spring, and hopefully Summer soon afterwards. With the way that global warming has been, I think we could expect some warm weather soon.

So if you guys remember correctly, January was a terrible month for me. I was just sick the entire month and feeling super blah. February was actually much better! I actually have a lot of things to be grateful for this month, so let's get right into it!

temptation island

You guys all know by now that I'm a fan of the Bachelor, and so this year they re-released a season of Temptation Island. I'm a sucker for trash TV, and this show's super trashy. These couples who are trying to figure out some things in their relationship, and they go to this island where they are separated from their significant other. They are placed in their respective mansions.

Now here's the twist, yes they are separated by their partners, but they are placed in a house full of single people. So, the taken women are put in a house full of single men, and the taken men are put in a house full of single women. It's honestly such a mess, and I honestly don't know why you would put yourself in this scenario with someone you're supposed to love?

Nonetheless, this show is super trashy and entertaining. It's definitely passed the time this month, and if you need a new guilty pleasure to get into, I definitely recommend checking this show out!

night out in hoboken

I've definitely slowed down on going out. It's expensive and right now I'm honestly trying to save a bit of money.

Earlier this month, I went to Hoboken, which is a city right across the river from New York City. I had a super great time with my group. I went with Sofia (my sister), her boyfriend, my cousin, his wife, Jamie (one of my best friends), and my cousin's friend.

It was super crowded out that night, but we all had a great time, and ended the night with Pizza. Definitely can't complain at all.

met the guy i'm dating's family

I have been seeing the guy I've been dating for the past 8 months. Earlier in the month of February, I met most of his immediate family. I was beyond nervous, and it actually went pretty well! There was no interrogation, everyone was pretty nice to me and tried to include me in their conversations. I do have a few people that I still have to meet, but I met the majority of them.

I'm honestly just glad that it went as well as it did!

valentine's day

I wrote a whole post about my thoughts on Valentine's day, which you can read here. Valentine's day was on a Thursday this year, and so we didn't really do too much. While he took the whole weekend off, I did have to work the next day.

We went to a beautiful dinner, and It was honestly so nice! While I have celebrated Valentine's day a few times, I never had like that stereotypical "fancy romantic dinner". It was nice to have somewhere to be able to dress up to and look nice.

comedy show

We decided to turn Valentine's day into a weekend thing. J tends to work a lot on weekends, so we decided to make the best of it, and we also went to a comedy show! He had never gone to one before, so it was a nice thing for us to do together.

While not all of the acts were amazing (two of them were completely drunk!), I still had a really good time.

devil's hockey game

The last thing we did in our Valentine's day weekend was go to a hockey game. J is a huge fan of hockey, and so we went to one.

I honestly don't know a lot about hockey, and while he's been teaching me a bit about it, I still have loads to learn. This is actually the second game I've been to, but I had so much more fun at this game!

He taught me a bit about the players, and the energy of the game was so high, it was fun! Not only that, but we actually won! The Devils have been on huge losing streak, and so it was extra fun that they won while we were there.

best friend's birthday

My best friend, Erika, turned 25! While we haven't had the chance to celebrate yet, I'm just so happy for her. I am so grateful to have her in my life. I can't wait for us to celebrate. I also hope that this year is even better than the last.

So this was my month in a nutshell, how was yours? What did you do throughout the month of February? What have you been grateful for recently? Let me know in the comments down below! As always, thank you so much for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day/night. Sending you love, strength, and positivity.

It sounds like February was much better than January! How exciting that you got to meet the guy you're dating's family!! I was so nervous meeting my husband's family when we were dating. I'm glad it went well.

I got super into the Bachelor in paradise, it's totally trash TV but totally addictive. I think I would be really into that Temptation Island show, but I would never put myself in that situation lol
