Antisocial by Jillian Blake - ★★★ 1/2
Hey guys I'm back with another book review! I picked up this book at Barnes and Noble the other week, because my lovely friend Christina gave it to me for my graduation! So, thanks Christina! Let's get into the actual review.
So from the inside of the book cover I knew that it was going to be suspenseful, but there were actually so many twists and turns throughout the novel that I didn't know how it was going to end! This is what the inside cover says:
"Alexandria Prep is about to be exposed. Senior spring was supposed to mean sleeping through class and partying with friends. But for Anna Soler, it's going to be a lonely road. She's just been dumped by her perfect basketball-star boyfriend- with no explanation. Anna's closest friends, the real ones she abandoned while dating him, are ignoring her. The endearing boy she's always had a complicated friendship with is almost too sympathetic.
But suddenly Anna isn't the only one whose life has been upended. Someone is determined to knock the kings and queens of the school off their thrones: one by one, their phones get hacked and their personal messages and photos are leaked. At first it's funny - people love watching the dirty private lives of those they envy become all too public.
Then the hacks escalate. Dark secrets are exposed, and lives are shattered. Chaos erupts at school. As Anna tries to save those she cares about most and to protect her own secrets, she begins to understand the reality of our always-connected lives:
Sometimes we share too much."

As you can see there's a lot going on in 249 pages. I got to say the first thing I really ended up liking was the fact that our main character suffered from GAD. If you guys don't know GAD stands for General Anxiety Disorder. I really liked reading about her experiences with her mental disabilities. I also think it sheds a lot of light for people who do not suffer with this.
The book made me want to keep reading. As I mentioned before, the book itself too a lot of turns. At one point I thought it was going to be a romance. I was extremely relieved that that wasn't the main story line. I feel like it was an extremely refreshing a semi-new concept. I don't want to give too much away, but it centers a lot on your phone and social media.
I actually really liked this book, and think you guys should read it! I feel like it offers a lesson which is extremely important, while at the same time not shoving corniness at you. If you guys want you can click here and get it on Amazon!
I hope you guys liked reading my opinion on the book! If you have any questions about it, leave me a comment below! Have a wonderful day/night. Sending you guys positive vibes.

Lovely review, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed this book - I haven't heard of it before but now I'm definitely curious about it. I always love books dealing with social media issues and the power of these new tools 🙂
let me know if you read it and what you think of it 🙂 xxx
Firstly, I miss Barnes and Noble; visiting one whilst in New York was a definite highlight. This book really sounds like Pretty Little Liars, but I like the addition of GAD. Great review, you've inspired this bookworm!
Let me know what you think of it if you read it xxxx
