Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon - ★★★ Stars
Hey guys, I'm back, so sit down and get ready to read another weekly book review! I actually read this book a few months go, but decided to write this review now, because I found out they are releasing a movie based on the book!
I read this for my Young Adult Literature class last semester for a group project. The inside of the book says:
"My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I'm allergic to the world. I don't leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He's tall, lean, and wearing all black-black T-shit, black jeans, black sneakers, and black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can't predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It's almost certainly going to be a disaster."
Everything, Everything (Nicola Yoon)
While I knew that it was going to be a cliche, which is something I've mainly grown out of, I have to say the part about her illness really intrigued me. I wanted to know what illness she had, and how this romance ended up happening.
I have to say that the romance was nothing out of the ordinary. If anything it was an extremely cliche. The only thing that I liked about the romance was the fact that the girl was of Jamaican descent. I like when there is variety in ethnicities and races within books.
In terms of the main plot with her illness, I actually liked it. It was something I was not expecting at all. There were more than a few points where I couldn't put the book down, because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.
Now, do I recommend this book? I don't know, I guess it totally depends on what you're looking for. If you want to read a super cliche, then sure go ahead! As far as cliches go, it's not the worst. Plus, the plot isn't bad. It's a pretty quick read too!
If you don't want to see the book, then deff watch the movie! Of course there's going to be some differences, but there's always differences between the book and the movie. Let me know if you decide to watch/read it!
Also, let me know if there are any books you want me to read and write a review for! Have a wonderful day/night. Don't forget to follow me on my social media pages.

I've never heard of this book, but the author is familiar. I like YA novels, but I'm not too into the super duper cliches that make you cringe. I'm pretty sappy, but cliches are just meh for me. I require much more creativity from my authors. Thanks for sharing the review!
