Fridaze 004
I was going to originally post on Tuesday, but I felt like I wanted to get a bit personal with you guys, and thought a Fridaze would be the best way to do so! It's been a month, and as I expressed a lil' bit on my last blog post, it definitely wasn't expected.
I wasn't doing so well mentally in May.
I was doing better than I had since Covid started, but I was struggling internally more than I had expected. I went on vacation at the end of May, and came back beyond energized!
I decided to take it all slow, and just enjoy the feeling of not being mentally exhausted all the time. I can definitely say that I feel 1000% better.
While I was gone, I have missed you all! Not only that, but I've actually done a lot throughout the month of June & this first week of July. Things over here a pretty much back to normal. There are certain things you can only do if you're completely vaccinated, but for the most part it's kind of live your life regardless of whether you're vaccinated or not.
Some people wear masks indoors while others don't, and they don't really check if they're vaccinated or not. I've been with the mindset of I've already done all I can by getting vaccinated, and trying to be safe during the worst parts of the pandemic. Now, it's time to live my life.
Adopted a New Puppy!
I think the most exciting news of the past month or so of not posting is the fact that we finally adopted a new dog. Her name's Luna, and she's about 3 months old. We drove about an hour and 45 minutes to meet her and her sister. In the end, we knew Luna was the puppy for us! She's growing so fast, and she's such an intelligent pup, so we've all been really happy with the new addition to our family.
First Time in New York City in a Year!
As most of you who've been following me on here for a while know, New York is honestly one of my favorite cities in the world (London & Chicago come as a close second). I haven't been in New York since Covid hit.
This past weekend, my best friend surprised me with tickets to go to El Museo del Barrio in Upper Manhattan! It was super cool, because it was an art museum that focused on art from Hispanic people with ethnic backgrounds from the Caribbean, Central, & South America. It was nice to see so much representation from different Hispanic/Latin backgrounds, some people were so talented, and I completely fell in love with their artwork.
Afterwards we went to get some brunch in Harlem! We went to a place called the Edge, and the food ended up being delicious. I highly recommend the Cajun chicken and waffles, they were definitely the winner in my opinion.
It felt so nice to be in my favorite city, and I'm actually expected to go there later today with some friends, which I'm super excited about! I'll definitely tell you all about it next week.
But that's a lil' bit about how I've been and what have you been up to? Let me know!
Sorry to hear that you weren't doing well in May. Also congrats on adopting a puppy, Luna is adorable! So glad to hear that you went back to New York, the museum sounds amazing too. I hope the rest of 2021 is kind to you xx

Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I'm so sorry for the late response. As you know things have been a bit hectic with me, but I'm trying to organize myself a bit more. xx
Such a sweet looking pup! I definitely relate to not feeling so great mentally lately...I'm currently anticipating going on a vacation too. I'm happy you are feeling better!
Thank you! I can't believe she's over 30lbs right now! We got her when she was 11, she's grown so fast. I hope you're feeling better mentally and had a great vacation. Thank you so much for reading and commenting 🙂 xx
