Fridaze 056
Happy Friday, and happy Fridaze. Also happy first day of September! Can't believe we're almost officially in the fall season. While I'm sad to say goodbye to Summer, I'm also really excited for all the fall activities (and drinks...cough cough PSL).
As Summer winds down a bit, things tend to slow down for me. And honestly, I'm not complaining! As an Introvert, I love have slower weeks with some busier days sprinkled into it. Let's chat how this week's gone for me.
Staying home instead of going out
As I mentioned in recent posts, I've been feeling a lil overwhelmed by how busy the Summer's been. Last weekend, it was one of J's friend's birthdays. While I was invited, I didn't have to go. He was indifferent on whether I went or not, and by the end of it I decided to stay home.
It was honestly great, I played the Sims, had a few drinks, read, and had a lil dance party with Luca (my dog). It was a great time, and what I needed. Not having to put on makeup and get dressed up, instead putting on my PJs and staying comfy was my perfect Saturday night last week.
Pool Days
My parents have a pool, so over the weekend J, Luca, and I went over. The water was perfect, and it felt nice to spend the day outside. While we still have a few more months of good weather, it won't be this warm for that long.
I'm trying to go to the pool again this weekend!
Christina
I'm always trying to prioritize hanging out with my friends, and this week Christina and I checked out a new Thai spot! The restaurant itself was super cute, and the food was delicious. It's really close to my house, so I will 100% be back. As always, Christina and I got caught up with life, books, and TV. It's always nice sitting down and chatting with a friend for hours (even after we paid for the check!)
Working Out
This has been sprinkled in the past 3 weeks. I've gotten back into mindful eating working out. I have gotten to a weight that I'm not proud of. My clothes don't fit right, and I don't feel good about myself. I have been doing Madfit workouts and adding cardio once a week.
In the span of a little over a month, I have lost 5lbs! To reach my goal, I need to lose 6 more pounds. If I stay consistent, I will be able to hit my goal. It's easier to hit my goals once Summer is over, so I'm not too worried.

I love spending alone time with myself (and a pup!) just in my lounge clothes doing whatever I want. It's pure bliss! haha
Congrats on losing 5 lbs! I find it especially difficult to stay on track with my fitness goals in the summer because of how busy the season can be and I tend to treat almost every day! I've never seen any MadFit videos but I'll check them out. I love MrandMrsMuscle YouTube videos and have seen a lot of improvements by doing their workouts for years. ♥

I always am better at staying fit in the winter/fall season too! I think it's cause I'm much less busy (like you said). I have never heard or that youtube channel, but I'll check them out! Especially since you said you've seen results. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂 x
This summer was strange for me (friendship breakups, work stress, weather ruining plans) so I'm personally thrilled to get on with fall! (Plus it's my favorite season.) Being an introvert myself, I can honestly relate to how you're feeling. Good for you for honoring your boundaries and your you-time when you really need. That's not always easy to do. I hope this season is a little calmer for both of us. x
I'm sorry to hear this summer wasn't everything you wanted, but I hope for both our sakes that the fall treats us both kinder. Thanks for reading 🙂 x
I'm in the same place — I've had such a busy summer (despite the lack of sun in the UK) but I'm an introvert and prefer my time to be more spread out. I'm looking forward to more days at home relaxing rather than getting dressed up. xx
Just when I thought Fall was right around the corner, we're having a super warm week this week!
