gratitude highlights from may
Hi guys, how are you all doing? Even though I wrote a post on Tuesday, I weirdly feel like I haven't written a post in a while. It's probably because I took a mini break the week I went on Vacation.
I originally was planning on having some pre-written content scheduled for the week I was gone, but ended up not doing so. I've had a lot on my plate, and didn't want to just rush out some content, just to have something to post.
I decided to take advantage of my week-long break from technology, and not post anything. I gotta say, it was superr refreshing to be away for a bit.
While it was nice to have a break, I have to say that I'm super happy to be back! I had a nice busy May. I didn't actually do that much before my vacation that was mention worthy (at least not yet...still working on that project), but it was a great time for television for me.
Let's get into what I was grateful for last month!
lucifer season 4
When Lucifer first started on TV, I actually watched it. I thought the show was super entertaining, and I couldn't wait for the following episode to come out. After some time, I actually fell out of love with the show and stopped watching.
Around February, my sister told me that Lucifer had gotten canceled, but Netflix bought the rights to the show, and that Netflix was going to come out with a season 4. We decided to re-watch the first two seasons, and watch the third for the first time.
We binged it so quickly, it's honestly embarrassing. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long, because season 4 came out at the Beginning of May. It was only 10 episodes, but it was really good! We obviously finished the season in about a week, and it left on a cliffhanger, but it's definitely been a highlight of the month.
Not only that, but as of earlier this week, they have confirmed that Lucifer is going to be signed on for a season 5! If you're looking for something new to watch, and like detective/super natural shows, then you'll enjoy it.
The guy who plays Lucifer, Tom Ellis, does an amazing job acting out his role. Check it out!
avengers end game
I honestly have no words. The Avengers series has ended, and while I'm sad that I don't have their movies to look forward to, I'm more than happy with how the movies ended. They have done an amazing job creating these movies.
I don't want to give anything away, but if you haven't watched End Game, or any of the other Marvel movies, do so. They're amazing.
game of thrones
This is another amazing show that has recently ended. They didn't do the best job at ending the series, but nonetheless the show was amazing. They had an amazing 7 seasons, and a good first 3 episodes to season 8.
While I was indifferent to what happened at the end of the show, I wish it didn't feel so...rushed? This show was so dialogue driven, and towards the end I felt like there was very little of it? Even if they wanted to keep the same ending, I wish they added an extra episode to expand on their scenes and conversations.
I would still re-watch it and think it's worth watching for those of you who haven't watched it yet. George R.R. Martin does an amazing job at creating their world. While this show might not be everyone's cup of tea, I still think it's amazing. I can't wait til he finishes the book series, so I see exactly how he wanted to end the series.
key west
I went on a cruise last week, and I had an amazing time. One of our stops was Key West. It was such a cute, quaint town. I got to try the Key Lime Pie, went to the beach, and had a yummy cocktail.
Key West was super picturesque, and if you get the chance to go for at least a few days, you would have a great time! Since I live super close to NYC, I actually found the prices to be pretty inexpensive for a touristy area!
cuba
While on the cruise, I was also able to spend 24 hours in Cuba. I went on a long walking tour, got to know the area pretty well. The city was beautiful, full of old Spanish styled buildings.
I will be writing a full post on my experience in Cuba, so I won't say too much, but I enjoyed it!
cruise
On top of the locations that I went to being extremely fun, I enjoyed the cruise itself! I always tell people to go on cruises. This is actually the 4th cruise I've been to in my life!
I just love going on trips with friends where I can tell them exactly how much they're going to spend. I had an amazing time, with a great group of people. Already looking forward to the next one!
the bachelorette
With the disappointment that was last season of the bachelor, I'm pleased to say that I'm liking this season of the Bachlorette. It might have something to do with the fact that I like Hannah, but it's been fun watching so far.
paradise hotel
The latest reality tv show that I've been obsessed with is Paradise Hotel. I would say it's superrr similar to Love Island, but it's only once a week.
It actually ended yesterday, but I enjoyed the last few weeks of the show! For all you trash tv lovers like myself, I recommend you check this show out!
This was my May in a nutshell. How was your month? Let me know!
Sending you love, strength, and positivity.

I need the next GOT book to come out asap! I stopped watching the show when it passed Dance of Dragons, so I have no idea what they did with the series.
I want to visit key west too! I was actually looking at a cruise out of Miami that went to key west and Cuba but I think legislation changed so you can't cruise to cuba anymore?? I was so bummed that all the Royal Caribbean cruises stopped going to cuba 🙁 I can't wait to read about your trip!
So the rule is if you booked before june 5th, you can still go on your cuba cruise, but you can't book trips anymore. I'm completely bummed too, because it was honestly such an amazing experience, and I wish other people can get to know the country the way I did! I'm still working on the post I did, it's a lot of information, and I want to make sure it all makes sense, and not just a whole bunch of rambles!
That really sucks! It's so disappointing that they made this decision 🙁
Looking forward to your post!
I love that photo you took in Cuba! The classic cars are so amazing. I've still not been on a cruise. It must be nice to explore several locations on one trip. xx
That's literally one of the best part of cruises, that and the fact that everything's included! I hope you go on one soon 🙂 x
