my site's been down.

From reading the title, you would know by now that my site's been down for the past 2 days on and off. I actually didn't find out until late Friday night. I chatted with Bluehost support for about 20 minutes, and they told me my site was back up and running.

I didn't realize it until last Tuesday, but while my home page was working, my blog posts weren't! It's kind of weird knowing that in the almost 3 years that my site's been up, I've honestly  never had an issue with my site. The moment I realized something wrong, which was about 30 minutes before I was taking a weekend trip, I started freaking out.

I signed into my Bluehost Account, and it was making it seem as if my blog was nonexistent, it was making me choose a theme for my "new" blog. My heart sank. There's no way that my blog is gone forever.

Something that I have spend years typing up blog posts, might no longer exists.

I went back to chat with Bluehost Support, and I don't know what they did, but they got it working almost immediately. I know I definitely dragged this post out, but in reality in the short bit of time that my site wasn't working, I internally freaked.

All those memories and thoughts that I have typed up might have been gone. I didn't realize how much my blog meant to me until that moment. I kind of take my blog for granted. Yes, I love blogging, and have not lost my passion for writing my thoughts, but I didn't realize how much I loved my blog.

I do have backups of my blog, but i'm not entirely sure how long it would have taken me to fix it up, or how difficult it would have been to restore it.

While this was a false alarm, I gave me a newfound appreciation for my blog. I love this hobby of mine so much, and am so glad that Bluehost Support was able to help me quickly.

Have you guys ever had a technical problem with your blog? Let me know in the comments down below!

As always, sending you love, strength, and positivity.

Sending you huge hugs! I am so happy it is fixed now! It is so stressful for all of the reasons you stated! It always happens when you are traveling or have an event or something! I had issues with my site this past spring and summer when I was in the midst of moving and couldn't fix it until June. It was so frustrating, but once I talked to WordPress they worked their magic. I am so happy you are back! <3

omg, I can imagine how terrible and frustrating it was to have it down for so long! Like you said it always happens when we are in the middle of doing something! I'm glad they got it up and running for you! Thank you for reading and commenting 🙂 xx
