my experiences of the law of attraction
I totally believe in the law of attraction. If you look into the science of it all, it actually makes a lot of sense. It's always kind of hard to explain to people what it is and how it works, but when I read posts like this one, I can't help but share it with others.
Alice does an amazing job talking about her experiences with the law of attraction and how it works for her. I don't know if you guys would be interested in me writing my own law of attraction post, or just talk more about my experience with it? For now, definitely give Alice's post a look!
what happens when people start judging bloggers too harshly
Since following Emily Clarkson on Instagram for a lil' while now, I've started checking out her blog now, and I've been obsessed. I try not to share too many posts from the same blogger in one of these posts, but I can't help myself. She is beyond talented. Her thoughts tend to hit me the right way, and always leave me thinking about it at a much later time.
While I'm nowhere near her level of "fame", I definitely understand exactly where she's coming from. The appeal of bloggers and some YouTubers is their relatability. I like reading about what people in similar circumstances to myself are buying, trying out, reading, experiences, loving and recommending.
The idea that people are hunting down these "online influencers" for being anything less than themselves is crazy. It's almost as if people forget that we're just that...humans. Everyone makes mistakes, and while neither I nor Emily are telling people to stay quiet when they think something is wrong. There's a difference between constructive criticism and attacking someone online for having a different opinion than you.
She definitely has a more eloquent way of stating her thoughts on this topic, but definitely check it out and give it a read!
some thoughts on james charles and cancel culture
This is another one of Emily Clarkson's posts that I honestly loved. Seriously, just check her out in general. This post came out around the time where the Tati/James Charles drama was going on in the Beauty Influencer community. I'm definitely a Tati lover 1000%, but Emily gave me more than a few thoughts to think about.
While I've never been an online hater, I don't think there's a need to voice hate on certain individuals online, I still found her post eyeopening. Now, I'm not into cancel culture. I think it's honestly a little bit ridiculous to some extent. The idea that someone should not be relevant because of something they have done, has always been a little weird to me.
Again, I'm not saying what James Charles has done is right, and I'm not a fan of his, but at the same time, we have to sit down and realize he's a 19 year old kid learning. Bullying someone online and saying terrible things to them is really not okay. No matter what anyone does, I don't think having 100's if not 1000's of messages is what anyone deserves.
Definitely give this post a read, to see Emily's point of view on this topic!
