Posts I'm Lovin' | 34

Like most posts on my blog, it's been a while since I've shared some of my favorite posts lately! I have a lot i'd like to share, but I think I'm going to keep it at 5 posts today. So let's get into it.

Finding my Own Way Home by Chloe Plumstead

Chloe Plumstead started writing for Aurelia Magazine, which is super exciting. One, because I honestly love almost every post she's ever written. And two, because now I know I'm going to get twice the amount of content now!

In this post she talks about trying to buy a house with her boyfriend, and how she's always had trouble finding places she could comfortably call home. It's eloquently written (like everything else she writes), and while I personally can't relate to this experience, her words suck me in, and really allows me to get in her head.

I highly recommend you checking out this post, and everything else she's written on The Little Plum!

Taking a Break from Technology by Kate la Vie

Kate talks about the unique experience of shutting of her cell phone and shoving it into a drawer. Something I had never personally done (with the exception of when I'm on a cruise, and have no service, so my phone mainly stays in the room).

Can you imagine a few days with no phone? It sounds kinda amazing if I'm being completely honest. I know that I can just turn off my phone and leave it in a drawer, but it just gives me anxiety just thinking about it! Maybe baby steps, like leave my phone in airplane mode or something!

Reading Kate's experience is really great, and you should totally read it!

Tales from a Wardrobe by Alice Catherine

Alice talks about her mental struggle with the pandemic at that point and time (back in February, which feels so far away from where we are now). When I read this, I related to it so much. I was having a really hard time with my mental health, and I felt a lot less alone when I read her post.

Alice is someone who always looks so put together, and her blog posts are always extremely well written. And yet, someone like her is also struggling with her mental health like I am. While the pandemic is waves ahead of where it was at the time, I still suggest you give this a read!

A Positivity Chat About the Year Ahead by Kate la Vie

Within the same week of reading Alice's post about having difficulty with her mental health almost a year into the pandemic, Kate came out with a post that had a bit of a more positive note. As I mentioned before, I was having a pretty hard time, and these two posts were extremely helpful to read.

While I could relate to Alice's post 100%, I also enjoyed having some time of hope, which I got from Kate's post. Kate talked about us almost reaching the light at the end of the tunnel, and she wasn't wrong!

Not only does she provide hope from the future, but she talks about the positive lessons she's learned from the pandemic, and wants to keep going forward. Another great post from her (honestly all of her posts are also amazing, just check out her whole blog)

After Lockdown by Michelle from Daisybutter

I feel like this group of posts show the end of an era (hopefully?). We are slowly leaving the end of strict lockdown and are finally seeing things slowly revert to normal. Michelle talks a bit about how she feels that things are starting to open back up, and how she's not pressuring herself to do anything she doesn't feel comfortable doing yet.

She talks a bit about feeling anxious about actually doing certain things, like eating indoors and meeting up with more than one friend at a time. While there are certain things I feel more comfortable doing, I feel comfort in knowing that I'm not the only one having a bit of trouble trying to figure out the balance of things reverting back so quickly.
