Recent Videogames I recommend!
I went through so many phases during this pandemic. I did the puzzles and got better at cooking. I kept on with the hobbies I've always loved like reading, painting, and playing videogames. I have to say, that while I've always played videogames, I play in phases. There are times where I play multiple times a week, and other times where I don't play for weeks at a time.
Since I was limited in what I could do during this pandemic, I turned a lot to videogames. In the beginning, it was a lot of Animal Crossing. In recent months, I have expanded my horizons, and have played a lot of really great new games that I wanted to share with you all. Let's get into it.
Immortals Fenyx Rising [Xbox, Switch, Playstation]
So I've been obsessed with game. I briefly mentioned this game in my winter favorites Youtube video! It's an open world game, I would compare to Legend of Zelda Breathe of the Wild. They're not exactly the same, but if you liked Legend of Zelda BOTW, I definitely think you'd like this one. The story is an Epic Greek Mythology Adventure. It follows Fenyx, a boy/girl (you create your own character). After your brother and all of the soldiers on the boat are somehow turned to stone it is your job to save them. While you weren't supposed to be the Greek Epic Hero your brother was supposed to be, it is your job to save the Gods from Typhon.
There are a lot of puzzles, you get to collect different kinds of mounts & armor, and it's just overall extremely enjoyable! They even recently added a DLC, so there is even more content to play. If you want to check out the game yourself, you can check it out Xbox: here, PS: here, Switch: here!
Bowser's Fury [Switch]
So my co-worker actually lent this game to me about a month and a half ago, and I went through the game extremely quickly! If I were to compare this game to any game at all, I would kinda sorta compare it to Super Mario Sunshine? It's not that the games are completely the same, but you have to collect these cat sunshines called Catshines.
The levels are just as tedious, and in order for you to get to the next part of the game, you have to collect enough of the Catshines. The game gets increasingly difficult as Bowser's Fury lasts longer, and you have to get the Catshines with fireballs and flamethrower coming at you the entire time.
If you were a fan of Super Mario Sunshine, I recommend getting this game! The best part? If you buy this game it also comes with Super Mario 3D world! If you're interested in the game, you can check it out here.
Super Mario Sunshine [Switch, Gamecube]
Speaking of Super Mario Sunshine, I recently got the bundle that came with it, Super Mario Galaxy, and the original Super Mario 64! Growing up, my cousin and my best friend had copies of Super Mario Sunshine, but I didn't, so I only played a bit here an there.
It's been really nice to play the game from start and actually get to fully enjoy it! To be honest, the game is even better than I remember it being! If you haven't played this classic, I 1000% recommend you check it out. You can get the game here!
Overcooked 2 [Playstation, PC, Switch, Xbox]
I found out about this game about 2 years ago, and I love it! It's a multiplayer game that can be played locally and online. You're a chef, and you have to work with your team to prep, cook, send out orders and clean. It's super hectic and stressful at times, but it's sooo much fun! I played the first one, which is extremely similar to the second one, so if you find one on sale, I can say you can get either one. I think it's a game for all kid 10 and older, but people of all ages can have fun with it!
Vampyr [Playstation, Switch]
Now, in Christmas of 2019 my brother got himself a Playstation 4, which was exciting cause I can play all of their exclusives! One game that my brother got that I hadn't played yet was Vampyr. It's about a doctor who gets bitten by a vampire in the industrial era in London!
As a newborn Vampire he has to get used to what that means. Throughout the game you can decide what kind of Vampire you want to be. Whether you suck the blood out of people or not. If you want to take care of the sick people in the city.
The game is really good! I'm a little over halfway through the game, and have loved every single second of it! The story is good and really unique. I have decided to be a "good" vampire, and not suck the blood of people, which has made the game a little more challenging (you gain experience when you suck someone's blood, so it's taken me a lot longer to get stronger and level up). If you're into creepy, dark stories, this is the game for you! You can check the game out PS: here Switch: here.
So those are the videogames I recommend at the moment! I have also written another video game and phone apps you can play post
What games have you been playing that you recommend? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you found some new games to try out. As always, thank you for reading! I hope you have a wonderful day/night. Sending you love, strength, and positivity xx
I miss the classic nintendo games! I got Bowsers Fury too and it felt like I completed the game way too quickly. I remember getting so many game overs on the original super Nintendo mario games!
I forgot about that Fenyx Rising game, but I remember it from your video now. Another one to add to my list!
Yeah, you're definitely right! While I really enjoyed the game, but it definitely was short. In super mario sunshine, it's been taking me foreverrr to even finish one world! The levels are much trickier than the ones from bowsers fury.
If you end up playing Fenyx Rising, let me know! they have already come out with two DLCs too!
