showing gratitude | december 2019
I know this is coming in a bit late, more like a lot late, butt I really like to practice gratitude, and so I'm going to talk about all the good that happened in December!
Brunch at Laduree Soho
On December 1st, I brought in December right by going to brunch with my best friend, Jill, at Laduree! I have never gone there before, but have heard that the location is beautiful, and since we always have wanted to go there, we reserved a brunch there!
Of course the day was freezing and raining ice, but I still had a blast. We ended up going to a few places afterwards such as Tomatoland and ReBag! I always have an amazing time when I hang out with my best friend, and this day was no exception!
Hoboken with Jamie
I hadn't seen my best friend Jamie since my Halloween Party, so we set a date and said that no matter what we'll do, we'll hang out. We ended up hitting up the bars and had a great time together. We danced the night away, had a few good drinks, and ended the night with some of the best pizza!
Met my Fur Nieces
My older brother got married last summer, and got two more dogs (yes, two more on top of the one he already had). My sister-in-law came by to visit over the holidays and brought 2 of the 3 dogs! I had already met one of the two, but was able to meet one more of them. I'm obsessed with dogs, and so it's always nice seeing them!
NYC Winter Lantern Festival
Me and my friend, Christina, saw these photos on Instagram about this festival and we knew that we wanted to go there at point throughout the winter!
We ended up bring some other people along, and had such a great time!
Dinner With Chanee
There are just some friends that I don't see as often as I'd like. Chanee is definitely one of them. She has such a special spot in my heart and it means the world when we get the chance to catch up and talk about our lives! We had dinner over a bottle of wine and had a wonderful time.
Me & my aunt take NYC
I went to NYC a lot this month too! Every time I go, I wonder how I went so long without going. I'm happy that I've spent so much time in NYC the last two months. One of my aunt's friends recommended a spot in the village, and when we got there, it totally wasn't our scene.
I pulled out good ole' Yelp, and we found this amazing hole in the wall. We spend hours there laughing, chatting with the other people at the bar, and the bartender! We then ended up at another bar, but we had such a great time together!
Christmas
This Christmas and Christmas Eve was so special to me. I was surrounded by loved ones, and it was just such a great time. My aunt surprised us a few days earlier to spend Christmas and New Years with us.
After this picture was taken, I had some family members come over. We ate leftovers, had some wine, exchanged gifts, and played board games and video games! I am so blessed by what an amazing family I have and that I'm lucky enough to live close to some of them.
The only unfortunate part was that my older brother was not able to spend Christmas with us, but maybe next year! In the meantime, we'll be taking turns visiting whenever he has time off!
Island Spa
I gave the aunt that came to visit us tickets to go to a Korean Spa. She is obsessed with all things Korean, so she loved it! We had such a great time together. We ate delicious Korean food, spent time in all of the Saunas and relaxed in the bath houses.
New Year's Eve Party
This year I decided that I wanted to be surrounded by all my loved ones, and threw my own New Year's Party! It was so much fun, and I think everyone who was there did too! I would definitely consider throwing another party next year.
Well that was my December in a nutshell!
