Spring Favorites | 2020

Instead of creating a winter favorites, I decided to mesh my Winter & Spring favorites together in one post! Since we've been in quarantine for most of Spring, I just think it made sense to put them both together.

Let's get right into it.

Now I know from the first few songs, these playlists look extremely similar, but I promise you there are different songs on both of them! There are just some songs I can't get enough of , and just move onto my next season's playlist. Check them out if you're looking for new music! You can also look me up on Spotify under @heyyitsmelina

  • Clash Royale

This was a game I used to play a lot about 4 years ago, I ended up getting really frustrated with the game, and deleting the whole app.

I don't know what made me download the app again, but a little before quarantine, I downloaded the app again, and I've been OBSESSED! It's a strategy game where you create a lil' army of 8 characters and you have to protect your bases! Each character costs a certain amount of mana, so you have to choose your team of fighters wisely.

Not only is it super fun, but it's super addicting! I actually have a clan on it (Lost in Aster, which is named after my clothing store), so if you play the game, definitely join my clan!

  • Podcasts

I had mentioned it last month that I've started listening to podcasts again. I actually wrote a whole post about all the podcasts I've been listening to lately, so I recommend giving it a read!

  • Aldi's Pueblo Lindo Taquitos Rolled Chips

I usually don't add food in any of my favorites, but I found out about these semi-recently, and I'm completely obsessed! If you've had Takis, they kind of remind me of those, but better. They're a little less spicy, but a lot more flavorful. If you like spicy food, and are a fan of Takis, give these a try!

  • Cheetos Jalapeno Cheddar Flavor

This is another recent discovery that I've really been lovin'. Everyone has always been obsessed with the Flamin' Hot Cheetos. While those are good, I feel like no one talks about these, and I love them so much more! Again, they're spicy, yet flavorful (Are you guys catching the theme here?).

  • Nintendo Switch Lite - Yellow

I've talked about this one too many times, but I have to bring it up in my favorites post! Last month, I got myself a Nintendo Switch Lite, and it might have been the best purchase I've made during quarantine. Out of all the games I've bought, Animal Crossing has been played the most. I also got the Spyro Trilogy, the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy, and a few other games! If you have any suggestions for new games, please let me know.

  • One Piece

One Piece is an anime that I used to watch when I was younger, but when they stopped airing it on TV, I fell behind on the episodes. I've been slowly buying all the collections of the show and re-watching it! I was actually watching it so quickly that I've only allowed myself to watching one DVD a day.

It's about a main character who wants to become the king of the pirates, and create a pirate crew. So throughout the show you see him continue to add members onto his crew, and growing stronger. This show has action, heartfelt moments that tug at your heartstrings, and lots of good laughs. You can't help but love every single person on the crew. It's such a good show, and if you're into anime and haven't seen this one, I totally recommend it!

  • Schitt's Creek

I don't know how I never gave this show a chance! It's about a rich family who suddenly become completely broke, with the exception of owning a small town. Throughout the show you see all the characters (with the exception of Moira) develop, and it's just really great. The show's on Netflix, so definitely check it out.

  • Scrubs

This is an oldie, but a goodie. So I've actually watching this whole show before, and love it so much. Recently, two of the main characters in the show created a podcast! Listening to it made me want to re-watch the show, and so I'm watching it for the second time through.

I honestly love it just as much as the first time. You can watch this show on Hulu & on Amazon Prime Video!

  • Too Hot to Handle

You definitely couldn't have expected to read this post without having at least one reality TV show. I'm a sucker for some trash tv, and this probably as trashy as it gets (well nothing's as trashy as Bad Girls Club & Jersey Shore).

The show has to do with gathering 10 of the "best looking people" in the English speaking world. They got people from the US, Canada, UK, & Australia. These people are meant to create an emotional connection without resorting to a Physical connection.

There are penalties for every time you so something physical. It's really entertaining! I do wish that there were more episodes so us as the viewer could have seen the couples and individuals develop more, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

  • Love is Blind

This is another reality TV show! This show was super interesting in terms of reality TV. It was based on the idea of whether or not love was truly blind. Therefore, in the beginning of the show, people got to know each other by listening to their voices through a wall. They couldn't see the person at all, but they could spend as much time as they wanted going on multiple dates and talking to the person/people they were most interested in.

It's really cute seeing some of the couples blossom into their full potential! They even have the reunion, so you can see who's still together a year after the show was filmed! Definitely a good watch.

  • NudeStix Blush - Sunkissed

I've really been into cream products, and while I still love the Too Faced Peach My Cheeks, I've been obsessed with using the Nudestix blush & bronzer. They just blend so beautifully, and you can use them on your lips, cheeks & eyes. On my natural days, I really enjoy going for the monochromatic look!

  • NudeStix Bronzer - Bondi Bae

Nudestix recently had a sale on their website, so I decided to get myself a cream bronzer. This is officially the best cream bronzer I've ever used. It's the same formula as the blush I had. The shade is perfect for my skin tone, and yet I feel like people with a lighter and darker skin tone can use it as well! It's buildable which I love.

I feel like cream products sink into the skin, while some powders sit on top of my dry skin, which can make it look less natural.

  • Coloupop Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer

While on it's own, I'm not a huge fan of this product. I really love how natural and skin-like this product looks when my skin is properly prepped with a hydrating primer! When I wear this, I get so many compliments on how beautiful & healthy my skin looks.

This product gives me the best natural makeup look. I also love how affordable this product is! I definitely think that if you have oilier skin, this product would work even better for you. As a dry skin gal, I have no issues when I use a moisturizer or hydrating primer underneath. Definitely check it out!

So I know this is a super long post, but these are all of my Winter / Spring favorites for right now! What are you loving as of recently? Let me know down below!

It's so good! I'm glad you're enjoying it 🙂 I'm doing alright, I'm a bit overwhelmed with everything from work/school/the sense of impending room from the media, which is why I haven't been around on blogs as much. But overall things are good!

Im obsessed with 7 rings by Arianna haha. Also I’m interested in that Colourpop tinted moisturizer- really into lightweight face products right now. Anything that looks natural but “skin perfecting” is my jam. Great List! Xx Jen

That song was actually my song of the year in 2019 according to Spotify! I'm still obsessed with that song, I honestly think I've had it in my playlist for over a year! And I really like it, specially with a moisturizer underneath. It's definitely a super light coverage, so for people who want more coverage, this might not be the product for them! I think it's perfect for the summer, since I tend to go for a lighter makeup look. Thanks so much for reading and commenting Jen 🙂 x

Great post, with so many amazing favourites! I love the new switches, and the yellow one seems so cute. I love Splatoon which is a game I didn't think I'd like that much, but I've spent quite a few hours on there haha! Crash Team Racing is another fave too! Too Hot to Handle and Love is Blind are some of my faves too, sometimes trash TV is best haha xx

Thank you so much! Yeah, Since I've stayed home all spring, it made no sense to make them separate posts! Thanks so much, hopefully either you find some great throwbacks or just some new songs overall! I know, my brother bought them recently, and I've been obsessed! I've been trying to cut back from eating unhealthy foods, but I honestly can't help myself with those occasionally.
I'm finally on the last season of schitt's creek! I went through it so quickly, and I love it so much.
Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I hope you have a great summer as well 🙂 x
