What colleges have you attended?
While I don't really find much inspiration in this question, I figured I would still answer. After high school, I applied to a whole bunch of schools. From ones in New York City to ones a few hours away. Some I got rejected to, and others I was pleasantly surprised by the fact I was accepted to.
In the end, I decided on a school semi-close to home, Montclair State University. Without traffic, it was about half an hour away. With traffic, it could take anywhere up to an hour.
When decided whether I should dorm or not, my parents gave me an ultimatum. Either they would help pay for dorms, or they would help me buy a car. I thought long-term instead of short, and chose the car.
Sometimes I kinda wish that I chose to dorm for a year. While it is super expensive, it would have been a fun experience. I was one of the luck commuters to have made a few friends over the years, and one best friend came out of it (hi Jamie)!
After receiving my bachelor's, I never went back to school. It's something I've thought about a lot over the years.
While I don't think I would go back to school in order to get my master's or another degree, the idea of going back to school to take a class sounds intriguing. I would love to go back and properly learn how to speak French. It's something I've been working on Duolingo and listening to french music, but I feel like it would help a lot to learn a language in a classroom setting.
How was your college experience growing up? Did you even go to college, and if you didn't, what did you do instead? I would love to know!
