What I was Grateful for in August! | 2018

Wow, Summer is officially over! I can't believe how fast this year went. I had such an amazing time this past summer and made so many wonderful memories. While looking through my August memories spread in my bullet journal, I was surprised by everything that has happened this past month! Let's get right into it.

Spent a weekend in Connecticut

My brother luckily was taken off his  month long deployment, and that meant that I had the chance to visit him for a weekend! My younger brother even tagged along this time. My younger brother had never visited my older brother before, so he was excited to see where he lived and stuffs.

During this weekend I went to Club Shrine, which is found in the Foxwoods Casino. I honestly had a blast. Kudos to the DJ that night! I wasn't feeling too hot that weekend, but I still ended up dancing the entire night away.

We also went indoor rock climbing, which I had never done before! It was such an intense workout (I was literally sore for days afterwards), but it was so fun, and I can't wait to go and do it again!

Then we went to this hibachi place, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was another fun weekend in Connecticut, and I'm so happy I went. I'll definitely be back real soon.

Finished Seasons 2 & 3 of Game of Thrones

I know, I know. You're probably all thinking "what's taken you so long to get to this point!?". To be fair, I'm re-watching the first three season, because two years ago I watched the first three seasons, but because of some personal issues in my life at the time, I had never finished the show. I decided to re-watch the show now, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made. I've fallen in love with the show all over again, and I can't wait to see how the show continues. I'm on season 4 right now, and I'm telling you, if you haven't started watching the show yet, you definitely should.

Dorney Park

I don't know why it always takes me so long to go to an amusement park, especially when I know how fun they are. I finally went to the amusement park for the first time this season. We went on a Tuesday, and let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions we made. There were no lines. We didn't even need to wait 1-2 minutes to get on. We did all the rides we wanted to in about 3-4 hours! I had such a blast, and will be back for Halloween season.

Many Beach Days

The last few years, I didn't spend as much time as I wanted to at the beach, so I'm happy to say that this year, I've gone to the beach a lot. This month I tried out the Asbury Park beach for the first time, and it's become my new favorite!

The first time we went, there was a concert going on, and I also went to this vegan food festival. I had so much fun, and the vibe of the boardwalk is really nice. They have this amazing Mexican restaurant called Pop's Garage that you should all check out!

Bachelor in Paradise Starts!

Last but not least, Bachelor in Paradise started this month! After a rather disappointing season of the Bachlorette, I was super excited to start this season of Bachelor in Paradise. This season's been pretty good so far. A good amount of drama, a few couples I really like that have gotten together. They have even featured Raven and Adam, which is one of my favorite couples from the entire franchise!
