What I've been reading.
So as you guys all know, I haven't been making book reviews since July. While I've taken a super long break from writing reviews, does not mean that I have not been reading! I've actually read loads of books. Instead of writing a review for each one, I decided to tell you guys all the books I've read, and if you are interested in seeing a review for any or all of the books, let me know and I'll write an in depth review. So let's get started.
Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
If you guys have watched any of the Da Vinci code movies, you can see how well they are executed. Tom Hanks plays an amazing Robert Langdon. Since Angels and Demons is the first book in the series, I decided to read them in order. I will be starting the Da Vinci Code soon. This book was a great suspense and thriller novel. I honestly loved every second of reading it. Dan Brown is an excellent story teller. If you want to get this book, you can get it here.
Fault Line by C. Desir
Now this is the book that made me take a break from reading and writing book reviews in the first place. This book is about rape. Plain and simple. This book made me cry, feel numb, and honestly not know what to do with myself. Books like these have a huge effect on me, and while it was extremely well written and the plot was good, it did make me extremely sad for a while. I'm warning you now. You can buy it here.
Once and For All by Sarah Dessen
I have fallen out of love with Sarah Dessen as an author for a while. This book reminded me why I fell in love with her in the first place. The best story I think she's written is This Lullaby. This story had a lot of elements from This Lullaby. I hope she continues down this route, and create great novels. I have one more left of hers to read, and I hope it's just as good as this one! You can get this novel here.
The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
Patrick Ness might be one of my favorite current authors. His stories give me everything I need in a fiction novel, and this book is no exception. This book is the first in the Chaos Walking series. It's so well written, and from what I read of the second one, it just continues to get better throughout the series. Another great book that you guys should check out. You can buy it here.
The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur
If you haven't heard of Rupi Kaur, you might know her by her first best seller Milk and Honey. If you still haven't heard of her, you can read the review I wrote for it. I absolutely loved Milk and Honey, and this book was a second sequel. I loved this book just as much as the first, maybe even more so. My book has so many folded pages and highlighted phrases. I really recommend you check this book out. Here's the link for you to purchase it on Amazon.
The A-List by Zoey Dean
I absolutely loved this book. This is the introduction to the A-List series. They are super quick to read, and sometimes you need something light and simple to take your mind off of life. The characters are very likable, and I love imagining myself in their lavish lives. I really recommend this book! You can get it on amazon here.
Girls on Film (An A-List Novel) by Zoey Dean
This is the second book from the A-List series. As I am currently writing this post, I am on the third book of the series. I like them because they are the west coast version of the Gossip Girl TV show. You can get this book here.
You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living An Awesome Life by Jen Sincero
This was the only self-help book that I read throughout this time period, and I absolutely loved it. Things were started in such a clear and simple way. I felt like by following what Jen said in this book, my life could really change for the better. I could not recommend this book enough. To buy it on amazon, you can get it here.
I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk
This was a recommendation to me by one of my blogger friends, can't remember who at the moment, sorry! The moment I was looking for something new to read, I went through my wish list, and bought this one. I was so excited to read it, and I am sad report to you that this is probably the least favorite book of the bunch. I felt like it was rather slow throughout the novel. While I enjoyed all of the characters, I felt like it wasn't eventful enough for me. If you want to read it, you are more than welcome to here!
Like I said before, if you want to see a true in-depth review on any of these books, let me know! I hope you guys liked this post. If you have any comments, questions, concerns, don't think twice about leaving a comment down below! Sending you all love, positive energy, and strength. Love you all from the bottom of my heart.

Oh you have some great books here! I'm glad to hear The Knife of Never Letting Go worked out for you, I was a bit disappointed by it, but I think it's mostly because so many people have mentioned this book to me, I had my expectations set way too high, ahah 🙂 I'm glad you loved this Sarah Dessen book, I need to read it. I've been loving her books so far, they are sweet and really great to read, I especially love her characters 🙂
Let me know what you think about the sarah dessen books! xxx
WOW! You've been reading a lot of books!!! I'm afraid I haven't lately, though I did when I was younger. Now I'm letting my NetFlix addiction turn my brain into banana pudding.
The book 'You are a Badass' by Jen Sincero looks like a good one!
Speaking of people reading a lot of books and NetFlix,
have you ever seen the movie 'Carrie Pilby' on NetFlix? ---> https://www.netflix.com/title/80147760 I managed a lot of good smiles watching it. The opening scene is shot on Central Park West,NYC.
Thanks for the love, positive energy and strength 😀
I'm definitely going to check it out! Thanks for the recommendation xxx
