YSL All Hours Foundation Review.
I've been wanting to write this review since August. Let that sit there for a second. Yes, since AUGUST. I received this foundation by Influenster for testing purposes. While I tested it on my other social media pages, I never talked about it on my blog.
I'm finally getting around to it today. I have been using it since August (yes, the foundation has lasted me this long), and it's time to get down to it.
This foundation comes in a glass bottle. It feels and looks luxurious, which is should because it is one of the more expensive foundations on the market. You can buy it at department stores and Sephora for $58. The one thing that I noticed right away is the fact that it does come with less product when compared to other foundations. Most foundations come with 1 ounce. The YSL foundation comes with .84 ounces (25mL).
I have extremely dry skin, so matte foundations are usually a no for me. I was more on the wary side when I first tried it out. I was completely surprised when I saw how flawless it looked on my skin. It did not stick to any of my dry patches. I did try it with and without primer, and the staying power of this foundation really impressed me.
The foundation does oxidize, but most do, so this isn't anything too odd. It does not last 24 hours, but it does last a good maybe 12 hours with minimal movement. Areas like my laugh lines and around my nose are the parts that move the most and tend to end up looking gross after some time. When doing my full makeup routine with a primer and a setting powder, this foundation still ends up looking flawless in those areas.
They have a surprising amount of shades, which makes me pleased to see. Just in case you were wondering my shade is BR40 Sand.
I think one thing that I really like about this foundation is the fact that is has 20 SPF in it. The foundation actually does have a slight sunscreen-y smell, which I don't mind, but something you might want to keep in mind if you don't like that smell.
The foundation is probably one of the most full coverage foundations that I have tried. Granted, I don't have terrible skin, so I don't really need to cover much up, but I really found it to be super full coverage while it still looking like skin.
The Verdict.
I absolutely had a great experience with this foundation. It always looked good on my face. It wasn't drying even though it was extremely matte. While I didn't pay for this product, because it was gifted for me, I do find the price to be on the extremely high price point, especially considering that it comes with less product than most foundations. While I did love the foundation, I'm going to test out other foundations to see if I find something that works just as well but for a lower price point.
If money isn't an issue for you, this product is honesty incredible, and I do recommend it.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! It's been a while since I've done a makeup post, but I really enjoyed this loads! What foundations have you been loving recently? Let me know in the comments below. Have a wonderful day/night. Sending you all love, strength, and positivity.

The price point is a little bit too steep for me but it really does sound amazing! Especially after hearing that it doesn't cling to dry patches, which is an issue for me. I'd love to hear if you find anything comparable. Great review!
Right now I'm trying out the Too Faced Born this way, it's definitely not as high coverage, but so far it's working out okay! I'll definitely make a post about it as I continue to use it! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x
I have a sample foil of that foundation that I've had since Christmas, I'm glad you said that because it reminded me to use mine up!
Let me know how you like it 🙂 !
I love the sound of this, but the price is a little extreme. The formula sounds really great though, especially if it doesn't cling to dry patches xx

Yes, the price is pretty expensive! I completely understand that when you're buying a product by YSL, you're partly paying for the name, and at least the product is good, but it is a bit of an investment lmfaoo! Thanks for reading and commenting Hannah 🙂 xx
Hey Melina! I always love a good foundation review! Dang, Influenster needs to start sending me some makeup! lol. This seems like a really nice foundation, glad you liked it! My skin has strangely gotten more dry which is odd but hearing that it works even with dry skin is cool. Not that I'm getting anything expensive right now but good to know! Xx Jen
This was the best thing Influenster sent me, and I was ecstatic! Even though they did send me some Marc Jacob lip crayons, but I wasn't a fan of those at all. I'll probably pop up a review of that eventually too! It's definitely an amazing foundation, and if you can afford it, even better. Thanks for reading and commenting Jen 🙂 xx
Sounds awesome! I'll have to try it out!

If you do try it out, you definitely have to tell me how you like it! Thanks for reading and commenting love 🙂 xx
I love YSL makeup, but I have to say that some of it is worth every penny, and other items I think you can get elsewhere cheaper. Which I suppose is most luxury brands. Having said that, you've given a great review and I think it's good that it lasted 12 hours. xx
What YSL products have you used that you loved and thought was worth it? And yes, I honestly loved the foundation loads and the staying power was amazing, especially without drying my face out, but I'm definitely testing out other foundations to see if I find one that I like better. Thanks for reading and commenting Laura 🙂 xx
I'm currently using a YSL contour and highlighting set. I put so much on but it just doesn't run out. And I have a red lipstick from them that I think is such a beautiful colour. And it doesn't feel heavy on my lips. xx
I'm definitely going to look into their contour and highlight set! Thanks for the recommendations Laura 🙂 xx
