Showing Gratitude | September 2020

Well, this month not only went much quicker than expected, but it was also a lot better than I thought it was going to be! While the temperatures have definitely cooled down a bit, we're still getting pretty warm weather around here. I would say we're ending September averaging about 70°'s (21°C) right now, which is not bad at all! We have a bit of a cold front about two weeks ago, but other than those random 2-3 days of chilly weather, it's been nice and warm still!

So let's get into what I did throughout the month.

Therapy

I did mention this in my latest diary post, but I actually started going back to therapy this month. This was something that I was putting off for a little bit. Then the pandemic started happening, and my mental health went to shit. I knew the healthiest thing I could do is to go back to therapy.

I've been at it for a month, and honestly it was the best decision for me. I talked a bit about it in my diary post, but it's honestly something everyone could use. If you go to a good therapist, it's such a safe space to talk about anything and everything.

I look forward to my Tuesday appointments every week. It's something I'm extremely grateful. The bonus right now is that my insurance is covering my therapy 100%! I don't have to pay any co-pay at the moment, which is super cool.

Beach

At the beginning of September was the last time I went to the beach during the summer. I sometimes like to take late night trips to the beach, so I'm not saying that it's going to be the last time I go during 2020, but it was super nice.

It was my brother's birthday, and so my family, my best friend, and some of his close friends went to the beach, where we sat until it got dark outside.

The beach is one of my happy places, so I'm super happy that I got the chance to go this month.

Brother turns 18

Now this is a big one. My youngest brother just turned 18! It's so crazy that time has flown so quickly, and that he is now a legal adult now. I'm just so proud to see the person he's become, and I can't wait to continue to see what he makes of himself. Whatever he plans to do, I'm sure it's going to be great.

Dungeons & Dragons

Now I'm not sure if this is something I've mentioned or not, but I've been wanting to try to play Dungeons & Dragons for months. We started developing our characters back in January, but because of the pandemic, we had to put our game on hold.

Then this month we finally had our first two sessions of playing! I had a feeling it was something I was going to be into, but I definitely didn't expect to like it as much as I have. The chemistry between me and my family members playing is so great. It's just full of laughs & good vibes.

Sunflower Fields & Farm Activities

This past weekend, me and my friend went sunflower picking! We dressed up super cute to take some pictures. It was at a farm, so we also did some apple and veggie picking! We also ended up doing a wine tasting. It was honestly such a good day. There's nothing bad I can say about it.

Catching up with Friends

This was the first month that I hung out with a good amount of my friends. There are some friends I haven't been able to see since January or longer, so it felt nice to catch up with them!

So this was my month in a nutshell! How was your September? I hope it was just as good as mine. Let me know in the comments down below. As always, sending you love, strength, and positivity xxx

No one is there, and I find it so calming and peaceful! Sunflower picking sounds amazing! I hope you are having a great October! <3
